Calling All Entertainers!

The Sinag-tala Filipino Theater and Performing Arts Association, which is coordinating the entertainment activities for the 2012 Filipino Fiesta of Sacramento, is pleased to announce that it is seeking both individual and group entertainers to perform at this year’s event.

The 2012 Filipino Fiesta will be held from 11:00AM to 5:00PM on Sunday, June 3 at the Jose P. Rizal Community Center in Sacramento. For details and a downloadable application form, please visit www.sactofiesta.org and click on “Performers.”

The application deadline for entertainers is April 30, 2012. Please help us spread the word!

Touring Ensemble Sign-up and Orientation, Saturday 3/17 @ 1:30pm

Don’t miss the excitement of being part of the Sacramento Region’s only and widely-respected Filipino theater and performing arts Company! For a $10 annual membership you get free all-year training from seasoned instructors, and performing experience, in Philippine and Filipino-American dance, musical, literary and cultural arts of all genres. Ages 6 years and older, all ethnicities, all skill levels - beginners and advanced - are welcome. Yes - this includes teens, adults, parents and seniors.

Come to the Sinag-tala Theater Ensemble signups and orientation this Saturday, March 17 at 1:30PM, at the Sinag-tala Studio, 4200 82nd Street, Suite E.  Both new applicants and returning company members must sign up and attend the orientation. Responsible adults must attend the orientation with minors.

Please be prepared for a dance workshop immediately following the 1-hour orientation. Wear clothing and footwear suitable for unrestricted, comfortable physical movement. No skinny jeans, skirts, revealing clothing, short shorts, loose jewelry, high heels or sandals please. Workout clothes, sweats, t-shirts, regular-length shorts, sneakers and similar wear are best.

To get to the Studio from Highway 50, exit at Power Inn Road, head south past Folsom Boulevard, turn left at Alpine Avenue, left at 82nd Street, then enter the second drive way to your left. Once you enter the lot, our building will be to your right with signage above the front entrance.

Tickets are $10 at the door at the Cosumnes Oaks High School Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30p, performance at 7p.
